I had not had Demeris BBQ since the early 70's when my then boyfriend's parents were having a party. A few months ago he...now my husband of 47 years took me to get BBQ ...it was AWESOME. (I am not a big meat eater but I am ready to go back !)

The Best of the Best in Houston! The catering is awesome and can't be beat! As well as the dine in experience is incredible. They are family owned and operated and you can feel the warmth in all they do!

Demeris did an amazing job catering a receptionfor 49 people. We did not serve barbecue!! Demeris is a full service caterer with a wonderful assortment of entrees, salads and desserts. The food was cooked to perfection!The waitstaff were outstanding and the set up was beautifully done.I feel that the whole experience was so positive in every way and I felt that is was a very good value.

I was picking up an order to go, and the lady at the counter literally just shoved the back at me and said "here". I'm a pretty demure, unfailingly polite person so I was really taken aback. The food isn't good enough to deal with rude staff. It's Texas, there are a million other bbq options.

Very disappointed in the food and service. Cashier/order taker rushed us through our order. Links were blah, we ordered tea and weren't offered sweet or un sweet...jalapeno corn was inedible. Hadn't been in years and won't go back.

I had Demeris cater fajitas for my daughters wedding. From the first meeting to taste the food the experience was awesome. Everyone was super professional and the food was excellent. You always panic that the food is going to be good or not when your booking something like this. Our expectations were blown out the window. The portions were great and the pricing was on point as well. The staff at the event was dressed very nice . They were all so helpful and very attentive. When service was done they picked up all the tables and kept everything very clean. They made sure we were very well taken care of. The service was the best service I've ever experienced at a wedding. I had to make some last minute changes to increase the amount of people by 100 the week before and there was no complaining or excuses Bee said she'd take care of it no problem. Choose demeris you will be in good hands.

Tremendous customer service. We have used Demeris for everything from Family to School .They showed their awareness and concern when my wife suffered a diabetic low. They are THE BEST!

Demeris provided 18 pounds of chicken for a birthday party. Delivered and set it up. The chicken was perfect. I have been going to Demeris 42 years and they never disappoint. The food is always good and fresh. The cost is reasonable and affordable. Great family business. Great service!

the bbq was great , food was good , problem was when I got home , the box of food was bit one sided and ended spilling some BBQ sauce in the bottom of the bag and mac cheese little bit every where

This was the biggest and best brisket stuffed baked potato I have ever had and I have had quite a few. My wife's sliced brisket sandwich was the best she ever had, on a fresh baked bun! Staff is very friendly and attentive. They just opened back up from the shut down. The gave us free shirts, hats and duffle bags too! We will definitely be back!

Tasteless, taste boil, no wood flavor, burnt. Too expensive for the taste. But not to worry i will never patronize or recommend it to anyone.

Wow! This place is amazing! I ordered the catfish dinner and the proportion was huge, I had to eat it in two different sittings. The taste was classic and fresh. I had jalapeno corn and it was spicy without it being overwhelming. The fries were yummy. Its good southern comfort food. It easy to see why they've been around for so many decades.

delicious and great flavor! my first time having it and the sauce is the best ive had in town. the meat is tender and not fatty. plus they are very accommodating and great customer service! My only constructive feedback is that the fries for my son's kids meal were soggy and bland.

The hostess at the front had a lot of attitude, but we actually enjoyed that part. Not towards us in particular, but just in general. The brisket's texture wasn't as soft and moist as it looked and wasn't all that flavorful. The chicken sandwich was pretty good as it had a buttery bun and grilled chicken, but was extremely messy. The baked beans were delicious and also the cheddar cheese ranch fries.

Been coming to Demeris since I was a kid. Back in the early 70s. Consistent and predictable all in a good way. Not the flashiest BBQ in town. But it never disappoints.

Good Texas BBQ at a decent price. FYI: the 'jalapeno corn' is nothing of the sort, think cream cheese and corn casserole that had jalapenos nearby when it was made.

Brisket tasted more like roast beef. Dry covered in sauce. Not impressed. Price outrageous. Nice people. Nice establishment. They just need to work on smoking and preserving their main business and that’s their bbq to always be smoked juicy flavorful meat. Slaw was good. Corn was good. Just telling it how it is.

The Greek Salad with Beef Fajita made my taste but so happy. I will make a special trip just to eat this again.

I ordered off uber eats. This place is a joke. Brisket had been reheated so many times it was basically flavorless jerky. Turkey wasn't real sliced Turkey breast but compacted meat sliced to mimic it. And they gave me sausage instead of the ribs I ordered. The sausage was basically a slim Jim. I dont know how every item was absolutely terrible. 30 bucks down the drain. Literally worse than dickies bbq.

Excellent Bar-B-Q. Rich hickory flavor. Their catering, consisting of a menu that goes way beyond Bar-B-Q, is probably the most surprising. Never been disappointed.

This was the worst restaurant I've been to in a while. The food was so bland. There was no flavor. The fries were soggy and again had no seasoning. Same with the catfish. The chopped beef in my sandwich was mushy and tasted like nothing and the bread was soggy and wet. We left more than half our food. I don't understand how this place has such good ratings. There was no flavor in anything we tried. It was a waste of $30.

Had the best attention to service by Helen, at the front register/counter. First time here so I had alot of questions as to what was good, she was extremely helpful even with my son who was being difficult. Thank you Helen! Giving 4 stars because of the food, brisket needed more flavor, sausage was bland. The baby back ribs though were very good.

Stopped in today,went thir drive thur,ordered a brisket plate and a tea ,25 bucks,totally over priced and small servings! I would not recommend!

I called about my order and the person on the phone was rude today. I love there food but today it wasn’t right. Won’t be going back. The customer is always right. On this day they didn’t feel that way. I did a delivery on yesterday as well brisket was dry and hard on the potato. I let that slide but today was the last straw. No gloves on there hands at all.

The staff at Demeris really took care of us. Giod ole southern hospitality and delicious food. The food was tasty and cooked well. Their BBQ sauce was good and the ribs were delicious. Sides complimented the meat well. I love the sausage, but that is my favorite part of Texas BBQ.

Demeris catered with box lunches for my company and they were goooood. The brisket sandwich they made was nice and packed. A good portioned sandwich for sure. The barbecue sauce was quite good, too. They made over 100 boxes, so I'm glad they were consistently good. Got a lot of good feedback from the employees. Not sure what the cost was, but I imagine it was reasonable. Wouldn't mind going to the actual restaurant to try it out some time.

We used to live in houston, and would visit this place almost twice weekly. Each time we now fly from ny to houston, we eat there every single day of our stay. I can’t imagine anyone else cooking the po-boy basket as good as these chefs. Its just the perfect taste, real texan bbq smell and quality ! I wish they could open one place in NY

Demeris did an outstanding job with our son's wedding last Saturday. From the set up for the ceremony itself to the presentation and serving of the wedding dinner, everything was perfect. Rachel and her crew took care of all our requests and the entire evening went seamlessly. Thank you Demeris making that day so special.

This is the best place ever it has amazing foods and amazing employees everyone is so Kind and the restaurant looks amazing! I really appreciate this restaurant being open because it’s just amazing and it’s my go to place ;) and don’t get me started with the food the food is just so amazing and delicious and every time I go there I just get ready for the delicious food ;)

Always great! I'm disabled, and the staff always helps me to my table and carries my tray for me - my ALWAYS DELICIOUS food! The macaroni and cheese is so rich and creamy! I normally get the mac and cheese, cheese fries, and ham. 😍

First time here. I was recommended the hoffy burger. I was not disappointed. It has a big onion ring inside and it's filled with crunchy bacon. Best burger I've had. Lady in the front was so friendly and atmosphere was so chill. They also gave us a sample of ribs for free. I would definitely recommend this spot.

great service, fast and efficient. the fries are excellent but eat them fast, once they cool they are mushy. the rest also cools fast but it's not as dramatic. the ribs meat was tender, their sauce is tasty and enhances very well all the flavors. They ask you if you want it on the side each time you order and that's great. overall a great BBQ experience, i just wish everything was hot a little bit longer

Big menu. Priced well compared to other BBQ places around the city. Food is great and prepared quickly. Staff is really friendly, especially the lady behind the cash register.

Demeris is fantastic. We pre-ordered a bunch of food for a post golf outing event with all guys. They had it ready to go when we picked it up. The Baby Back Ribs are the absolute best!!

BBQ food, fast food style. Great flavour I had the bbq pulled pork sandwich and husband had the baby back ribs. Both very tasty. Sides were also good, and very reasonably priced.

We’ve ordered a Cajun fried turkey from Demeris several times for Thanksgiving and or Christmas dinner. Their turkeys are excellent and staff is friendly and organized. We tried another place for a Cajun fried turkey and it was awful which makes me appreciate this place that much more. I can’t speak for the barbecue but will try it some time.

We had Demeris cater our Life Bible Study class Christmas party from Houston’s First Baptist Church. You cannot beat the quality, prices and service. We had them do the plating and everything was on time, well organized, plentiful and delicious. And I did a lot of research before we made a decision. No one else came close. And they offered an additional vegetable. There were no concerns or complaints. They are the best!

This is truly the best BBQ! We have catered from Demeris BBQ on many occasions and again this week. They have always been on time and the food was a huge hit with everyone. They are friendly professionals, and they make every effort to be the best, both in customer service and with the quality and taste of their food! I will definitely order from them again and again!
